Eurostar high-speed train

Eurostar is a high-speed train connecting several big cities across France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Great Britain. From October 1st 2023, all former Thalys routes will be operated by the brand Eurostar. Former Thalys trains will still be recognisable by their red painting while Eurostar trains will remain operating in their grey-yellow livery. All trains run at top speeds of up to 300km/h. If you want to travel in luxury and save as much time as you can for sightseeing, then the Eurostar is your best choice.

Reservations

Reservations on the Eurostar are mandatory. You can start making your reservations up to 6 months in advance, but this depends on the exact route. Only Interrailers with an Interrail Global Pass can reserve seats on the Eurostar.

Please note that the Eurostar prices mentioned are special Interrail Pass holder fares. These fares have limited availability, so make sure you book the Eurostar well in advance. If your train is booked out for Interrail Pass holders you'll need to select a different train or buy a regular ticket.

Alternatively, find trains without seat reservations in our timetable by toggling on the ‘no reservation needed’ button.

Residents of Belgium, the Netherlands or Luxembourg cannot use the Pass in their country of residence while using the Benelux Pass. Both countries need to be included in the Pass when travelling by Eurostar (formerly Thalys trains).
  • Eurostar trains to London can only be used by travellers with a Global Pass.

Arrival at the station and check in

To go to or leave from London, you'll need to go through the ticket gates, passport control, and a security checkpoint. To make sure you have enough time for this, please arrive at the train station 45 - 60 minutes before departure.

The ticket gates close 30 minutes before departure. The train won't wait if you're running late.

Special booking conditions: Fill in extra passenger information to get your ticket

To retrieve your tickets, please visit the Eurostar website, where you will be prompted to enter your ticket number (also known as the booking reference) and last name. You will then need to provide passport details for each passenger. For further information on Eurostar’s new booking regulation, please refer to this link.
