Interrail Passes

No, UK citizens are still able to travel Europe with an Interrail Pass. Likewise, travelers from elsewhere in Europe can still visit the UK with an Interrail Pass.

An Interrail Pass can only be used by European citizens and official residents. Non-European citizens can use a Eurail Pass instead, available from Eurail.com. If you aren't a European citizen, but you can prove that you live in Europe, you can use an Interrail Pass.

This depends on the countries you want to explore. If you want to see as much of Europe as possible, we recommend the Interrail Global Pass, which is valid for train travel in 30 European countries.

If you want to visit a single country, you can buy an Interrail One Country Pass instead. If you want to visit 2 countries, it's best to compare prices to see whether two One Country Passes or one Global Pass is better for your trip. Prices vary depending on country and validity.

If you order an Interrail Global Pass - 5 days within 1 month, this means you can choose any 5 days to travel on within a period of 15 days.

The travel days do not have to be consecutive. You can decide when to use them during your trip. A Pass like this is ideal if you don't plan on travelling every single day. Check all available Pass options here:

If you have an Interrail Global Pass, you can travel on one travel day to leave your country of residence (outbound) and on one travel day to return (inbound). You can use these journeys in your country on travel days at any point in your Pass’ validity. Read more about travel in your own country.

Interrail One Country Passes are only valid for the trains in the country indicated on the Pass. You cannot purchase an Interrail One Country Pass for your own country of residence.

Please note that the Interrail Benelux Pass is valid in 3 countries. So if you're a Dutch resident, you can use this pass for travel in Belgium and Luxembourg.

The delivery time depends on your shipping country (the country your Interrail pass will be sent to). With our shipping calculator you can see the expected delivery date and the exact shipping costs to your country.

Please note that delivery to a PO Box is not possible. Someone will need to be around to sign for the package during working hours.

Train reservations are required on most high-speed trains and all night trains, and can often be booked up to 2 months in advance. The Interrail Premium Pass includes free reservations. For all other Interrail Passes, additional reservation fees are not included.

It's often possible to avoid reservations by taking a slower, alternative route.
