1. Stuttgart to Venice

Start your adventure in Stuttgart, home of the petrol-powered car and 11,000 animals at Wilhelma Zoo. Spend at least two days exploring the city, and be sure to visit the huge zoo and botanical garden spread over 30 hectares.  At the end of the second day, pick up a good bottle of wine from the local vineyard and head down to the train station. It's time to change your scenery overnight.
