Your order

Greece has a certain magic about it that just can't be beaten. With 227 islands and an ancient mainland, it's almost impossible to see it all, but we dare you to try! Check out our bucket list for all the essential experiences during your island-hopping.

Admire the Acropolis, Athens

It's hard to miss the Acropolis when you're in Athens. Rising above the sea of white, this archaeological site symbolises the ancient world more than anything else. Head up to the Parthenon and explore the ruins of ancient Greece, the birthplace of modern civilisation.

Watch the sunset in Oia, Santorini

With its blue and white buildings, Santorini is probably the most famous Greek island, and must be visited at least once. Watch the sunset in Oia for those perfect photos, with the sunlight sinking over the Aegean Sea, remembering to respect the locals who live there.

Visit Shipwreck Bay, Zakynthos

Imagine a rusted shipwreck, lying upon golden sand. Hidden away in Navagio Bay, the wreck of Panagiotis is Zakynthos' top attraction and the most famous shipwreck in the world. We'd recommend to visit this site with a private boat or guide to escape the crowds, allowing you to witness this stunning spectacle in peace.

Wonder at the windmills, Mykonos

Mykonos is another island characterised by its gleaming white buildings, but its windmills are also incredibly famous. With their iconic white designs, these windmills are sat beside the sea and symbolise the island's agricultural past. Head here off-season for the best experience, and remember to take your camera!

Climb the cliffs at Meteora

The Monasteries of Meteora form the largest archeological site in Greece, and that's saying something. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, these monasteries are perched upon enormous rock formations, isolating them from the rest of the world. Climb up to visit the monasteries and marvel at one of the world's most unique landscapes.

Run on the racetrack at Olympia

Ancient Olympia was one of the most sacred sites in Ancient Greece and still holds its wonder today. Stroll around the incredible ruins, keeping an eye out for the remains of the statue of Zeus, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. And, as the birthplace of the Olympics, you must run across the original Olympian racetrack.

Live the Mamma Mia life, Skopelos

Throw on those dungarees and head out to the island of Skopelos, otherwise known as the Mamma Mia island. With its breathtaking scenery, iconic clifftop church and of course all the settings of your favourite scenes, why wouldn't you visit?

Hike around the Dragon Lake, Epirus

Lakes might not be the first thing you think of when it comes to Greece, but the Dragon Lake in the Epirus Mountains is certainly special. Follow the magnificent alpine trail to end up at this watery wonder, rumoured to have been created by two dragons fighting. Perhaps you'll even see them there...

Discover Delphi

As the shrine of the Oracle, Delphi was one of the most important places in Ancient Greece and is still incredible to visit today. Wander around the ruins of the Temple of Apollo, feeling a mystical atmosphere around you. Do you want to know your future?

Gorge on Greek gastronomy

We're hungry even thinking about Greek food. From mezze and moussaka to salad and souvlaki, Greek cuisine is one of the best in the world. With an amazing selection of meat, fish and vegetarian options, Greece has a fantastic cuisine for all, using freshly-grown produce in the best way possible. Visit a local taverna for an even more authentic experience, with music, drink and laughter ready to start the night.
