Leicester, England

This route begins by re-tracing the steps of King Richard III in Leicester. Learn about his life and death before completing the royal experience with an afternoon tea or visiting one of the city's many charming parks. Science fans can satisfy their curiosity with a visit to the National Space Centre.

Nancy, France

At our next stop, it’s time to trade Richard III for the Dukes of Lorraine in the medieval city of Nancy. While there is no shortage of reminders of the city’s rise in the 1700s, such as the grand Place Stanislas, fans of more recent artistic movements can also delight in knowing that Nancy was once the French capital of the Art Nouveau movement.

Strasbourg, France

As you approach the German border, the influence of France's neighbour becomes evident in Strasbourg, the capital city of the Grand Est region. A stroll through the streets will see German-style half-timbered houses blend seamlessly with distinctively French architecture. Nowhere is the cultural convergeance more evident than in the cuisine which brings in the best of both worlds.

Stuttgart, Germany

Next up is Stuttgart, home of some of Germany's most famous automotive brands. You can dive into the history of Mercedes-Benz and Porsche at their respective museums or retreat to one of the city's ample green spaces to enjoy some nature and maybe even a well-deserved beer.

Schwerin, Germany

It’s time to head north to the city of Schwerin in the Mecklenburg region of Germany. Schwerin is the perfect place to take it easy and connect with nature while visiting the lakes that surround the city. Don’t miss Schwerin Castle, situated on an island in Lake Schwerin. Schwerin affords the perfect opportunity to rest up before our last stop.

Berlin, Germany

We wrap up our route with edgy Berlin. The German capital once best known for the wall that once divided East and West during the Cold War, has embraced freedom of all sorts, serving as celebration of art, culture, music and legendary nightlife. In Berlin you can find a museum for any moment in the city’s storied and tumultuous history.
