Balaton Sound music festival takes place in Zamárdi, a small village on the shores of Lake Balaton. From Budapest-Déli train station there are regular trains to Zamárdi. The journey takes around 1.5 hours.

Sziget

Sziget is one of Europe’s biggest and best music festivals. With the world’s most famous musicians across a range of genres, there’s a show for every taste. The festival is set on Óbudai-sziget, an island in the Danube River.

Óbudai-sziget can be reached by metro from all 3 of Budapest’s main train stations. The metro ride will be between 20-45 minutes, depending on which station you leave from.

VOLT Festival

Location: Sopron

What started as a small festival with 800 visitors, turned into a great, eclectic experience with artists and visitors from all over the world. With 15 stages and more than 200 shows, this festival offers something for everyone.

Sopron is easily accessible by train. From Budapest it is approximately 2.5 hours. There is also a shorter connection from Vienna, which takes 1.5 hours.
