Express InterCity Premium (EIP)
The fast and modern Express InterCity Premium trains, which started operation on 14 December 2014, are a new category of comfort and quality on Polish rail tracks. In this way, they begin a new chapter in the modernisation of the Polish transport sector, and create a better travel standard in Poland – tailored to the needs and financial abilities of various groups of passengers.
These services are operated by Pendolino trains, reaching speeds up to 200 km/h on Polish tracks. They connect the large metropolitan areas of Warsaw, Gdánsk, Wrocław, Katowice and Krakow. You can expect all the facilities of a modern high-speed train, including reclining seats, plenty of legroom, WiFi access and an onboard bistro.
These premium trains are the fastest on the Polish network, so seat reservations and a supplement are mandatory. Read more about that on this page.
EIP trains run on the important North-South axis in Poland. It connects Warsaw with Gdánsk, the Baltic Sea in the North and three major cities in the South: Krakow, Katowice and Wrocław.
EIP trains connect with many other trains in Poland, such as the regional trains or IC trains which can continue your journey to the smaller towns and villages across the countryside.
