Festivals in Spain

Anyone who’s been to Spain will tell you that its residents know how to throw a party. And that’s before the festival season even kicks off. The legendary music festivals in Spain attract the biggest names in the business. They’re dotted throughout the country and take advantage of the perfect climate and infectious party atmosphere to create lasting musical memories.

Festival Internacional de Benicàssim (FIB)

Location: Benicàssim

FIB may just be Spain’s best indie and alternative festival. It also has a good amount of electro thrown into the mix. It’s been one of Spain’s top festivals for more than 20 years, and it doesn’t seem to be letting up anytime soon.

Benicàssim is about 260 kilometres south of Barcelona, and you can reach the festival by car, train, or special festival buses.

DCODE

Location: Madrid

Website: dcodefest.com

In true Barcelona-Madrid rivalry, DCODE appears to have risen in response to Barcelona’s stranglehold on the indie music festival scene. This one-day festival in the capital features a long lineup, and it’s one of the year's last summer festivals in Spain.
