Interrail pass holders travel for free on this scenic train, travelling from Montreux to Lucerne. It links the Vaud Rivier to Lake Lucerne and has direct connections to both Geneva and Zurich airport. Route:

Experience a breathtaking ride on the Bernina Express

A train ride so breathtaking, the route itself is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Present your Interrail pass and pay only a small reservation fee (CHF 14.00 in summer and CHF 10.00 in winter) to travel through mountains and glaciers, up steep inclines and through 55 tunnels. From the snowy Alps to the balmy palm tree regions of Italy in only four hours.

Additional information
The Bernina Express train travels only to Tirano. There you continue to Lugano on the Bernina Express bus. Please note that this bus only operates during summer and requires an additional 14.00 CHF reservation fee.
