Is it possible to change the name on my pass?

Sometimes your travel companions or the starting date of your trip change after you’ve made an order. Or you notice an error in the number of your passport, country of residence or date of birth. If this is the case, you'll have to exchange your pass for a new one with the correct details.

To exchange your unused pass, please follow the steps below:

  1. Order a new Interrail Pass through

  2. Follow the return instructions provided in your Interrail account and send your old pass back to us.

  3. Please contact our order support team by email, and make sure to include your old and new Interrail order numbers. You can find the contact details for your region in your order confirmation email or invoice.

  4. When we receive the unused Interrail Pass(es) back, we will process a 100% refund minus the €15 exchange fee per Interrail Pass.

Please be aware that unused Interrail passes can only be returned before the start date that is printed on the pass. For more details, please have a look at our return policy.

The name(s) of the traveller(s) is printed on the Interrail Pass, therefore it can only be used by the person(s) named on the pass. If any changes occur, you must report these to
