Over the last few weeks, thousands of Interrailers casted their vote, choosing from 10 shortlisted European destinations. With 33% of the votes, Valencia came out on top and convincingly claimed the title. We'd like to congratulate Valencia on being the favourite European destination amongst Interrailers!

Why go there?

Valencia, Spain's third-largest city, is the perfect mix of old and new. You can explore the character-filled Barrio del Carmen area and wander through this labyrinth of cobbled streets, lined with towering medieval buildings.

On the flipside, the futuristic reflections of the city include Valencia’s L’Assut D’or Bridge or the colossal structures of Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias (The City of Arts and Sciences). Be sure to have your camera at the ready!

How to get there?

The main station Valencia Joaquin Sorolla is centrally located. This modern station sees countless daily domestic connections, as well as high speed lines from Barcelona and Madrid.
